Society Swing Plays at ECC Bistro on Aug. 4th!

Showcasing a repertoire from the Great American Songbook, the Society Swing Sextet is on a new roll these days at Electric City Coffee.

The Great American Songbook is an informal catalogue of quintessential compositions spanning the 1930's to the '60s. Society Swing's playlist includes classics such as "It Had to Be You," "Unforgettable," "Stardust," "Satin Doll," "Can't We Be Friends," "All of Me" and "Shiny Stockings" from artists ranging from Nat King Cole to Duke Ellington to Ella Fitzgerald to Count Basie to Frank Sinatra. Styles......covered include swing, bossa nova, ballads and Latin. Jay emphasizes the band's playlist appeals to all age groups not just "mature" audiences, and we are very excited that booking requests for the band are taking off!!! "

Society Swing has built a strong following in Great Falls in the last fifteen years. We are really enjoying special guest artists sitting in with us as well. Weather you play an instrument or sing, stop in and join in on the fun. Our new monthly home is in Great Falls at Electricity Coffee and Bistro. We are being featured every month for their "First Friday Events".
