This FREE training is geared toward clinicians. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. See link at the end of this post.

Science is rapidly advancing the understanding of human brain structure and function. Of interest is how the brain structure and function changes when exposed repetitively to certain chemicals and processes.

During this conference we will discuss:
*Brain basics
*Neurons, brain chemistry and neuro transmission
*How alcohol and drugs change brain communication
*What can we do about it?

Shelley Andrus is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who provides specialty care for people with mental health and addictive disorders. She has been employed at Benefis Hospital since 1995 and Insight Telepsychiatry since 2018. She received her BSN at Montana State University, MSN in Nursing Leadership at University of Phoenix and Post-Master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at SUNY, Stony Brook, New York.

3 hours of CEUs for LCSWs, LMFTs, LCPCs & LACs. All documentation required by the Montana Board of Behavioral Health will be provided. This training is offered in conjunction with Stop the Stigma Week, October 1-4, 2019.
