Studio Talk with Nick Golfis

Prior to the conservation of Charlie Russell's Studio, Charlie's original models and figurines were on display - almost exactly as he had left them. However, they were too fragile to be left in the studio without proper temperature and humidity controls in place. In an effort to give our museum patrons an authentic experience, artist Nick Golfis was hired to recreate a variety of these original pieces. We hope you'll join us for this studio talk where Golfis discusses how he completed this difficult task, the processes he took and see some of the original artifacts next to Golfis' reproductions.


Artist/Speaker Bio:
Nick Golfis is a multidisciplinary artist/designer based in Minneapolis, MN. He sculpts, builds props, designs sets, produces exhibitions and performances in both galleries and arenas. His work has been exhibited in Minnesota, New York, Missouri, and Montana.
