COURSE: is divided into 2 "Phases"
Phase 1 is done online at www.nrainstructors.org and must be completed and passed before signing up for Phase 2

Phase 2 is at the outdoor classroom & the 200 yard range on June 22, 2019 at 8am

STEP 2. Mail payment of $65 or $85 to GFSSC at PO BOX 7, Fort Shaw, MT 59443-007 with the words "basic pistol" written on the notes line.
*include a note with you birth date, & email address *
Once your payment has been received you will be given a Course Codes to enter on the NRA website.

STEP 3. PHASE ONE- Go to the link below, enter your Course Code and NRA number if you are a member of the NRA. You do not have to be an NRA member to take this course.

Complete the on-line Basics of Pistol Shooting Course by June 15th. This is a long, but wonderful course that can be taken at your convince and done over a period of weeks, but needs to be completed by June 15, 2019.

STEP 4. Notify me once you have completed and passed Phase One. You have several chances to retake the test. If you score a passing grade but wish to try for a higher score you may. It will automatically record your highest score

STEP 5. PHASE 2 – We will meet at the outdoor classroom at 8am on June 22, 2019
Bring a sack lunch, plenty of water and a snack.

Bring your UNLOADED pistol and 150 rounds in case you need to re-take the shooting portion or wish to try to pass at higher levels.

RED QUALIFICATION-10 feet: The target has four 4" circles that you must shoot 5 rounds into. If they are on the edge of the circle they are counted as good.
WHITE QUALIFICATION-15 feet: The target has four 4" circles that you must shoot 5 rounds into. If they are on the edge of the circle they are counted as good.
BLUE QUALIFICATION-20 feet: The target has four 4" circles that you must shoot 5 rounds into. If they are on the edge of the circle they are counted as good.
INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATION-45 feet: 16 of 20 shots within a 6" spread
