Joseph Running Crane Description:
Cassiopeia Books is so thrilled and delighted and excited and honored that Joseph Running Crane will be playing a set at the bookshop. If you haven't heard his music before, head on over to the first link below.
With a voice singularly unique, the sensibility of a poet, and the ability to craft a song in the way a carpenter crafts a boat, his music evokes and stirs the emotional interior of any listener that has two ears and a soul. A few years ago, I listened the Browning Demos for the first time and I haven't stopped since.

I am also honored that Great Falls' own David Raba will be opening for Joseph. If you haven't heard David's music, well head on back to bandcamp below.
David's music never fails to both surprise and move me and I have at least two copies of each of his albums because I have worn them out due to repeated listenings.

With two of my favorite songwriters under one roof, I have to say, it feels like Christmas came earlier than expected. Something that's really cool: Joseph and David were both drummers for the band Bridgebuilder. And building bridges is the point of all of this. Bridges between individuals, between ideas, between consciousnesses, building bridges between hearts and minds.

This is going to be a magical evening - to miss this event would be to deprive yourself unnecessarily. Add this on your calendar. It's free, it's open to the public, and it's one of those rare moments when you go to listen to live music and your are treated to an atmosphere and a quiet venue that the music deserves. Bring your friends, bring your neighbors, bring your parents, and enjoy how fortunate we all are to have an evening such as this.
