When you walk into a fly shop and look at all the flies, fly rods and items spread about, it can be overwhelming. Our introduction to fly fishing classes are designed to help you navigate the essentials, so you can get started on a path to fly fishing fun and discovery.

We will start with an indoor presentation covering some basics:

How do you pick a fly rod?
Leaders and Tippet
Knots
Rigging a fly rod
Tools
Waders
Trout Food
Flies
Techniques

Then we will head outside for some casting instruction. Bring your own rod if you have one or use one of our demos.
